About

The first step in fighting climate change is information. Many people are unaware of how big an impact some of their actions and purchasing decisions can have on the environment. We want to change this.

That's why we've created software to calculate the carbon footprint of our projects. Both our clients and the people attending these projects can now get deep and fine-grained insights into what the biggest contributors to the carbon footprint are.

Our technology enables people to filter by category of supplier (e.g. caterer vs. office supplies), helping people to understand the rough carbon contribution of different areas. But that's not all: the technology also allows people to dig into the data of individual suppliers within a category, so as to compare how effective each one is at keeping their carbon footprint to a minimum.

We are confident that the insights from this data will enable the team to make more informed and conscious decisions regarding the environment.

How it works

Step 1

For each project we make a list of all suppliers and then send out questionnaires to each one of them. Different categories of suppliers receive different questionnaires, according to what their likely carbon footprint might be.

Step 2

Suppliers then fill out their questionnaire. This contains detailed questions about their activities related to the project, such as how far their staff traveled and with what kind of transport. These questions are easy to answer and do not assume domain knowledge.

Our software uses this information to calculate each supplier's approximate carbon footprint and charts it in a dashboard. Furthermore, the tool provides information on the total carbon footprint of the project.
